One of the most hauntingly beautiful places on the planet
Discover Skeleton Coast Camp. Find out more about this camp here.
Skeleton Coast Camp lies within the Skeleton Coast National Park in a 16 400kmē private concession and calls to those seeking a truly remote wilderness experience. With its stark shoreline strewn with bleached whalebones and other skeletal remains, the Skeleton Coast is well named. It is wild and desolate, a place of stark, harsh beauty that yet sustains unusual life, from enormous colonies of Cape fur seals to the ancient welwitschia plant. At the 2007 Imvelo Awards for Responsible Tourism, Skeleton Coast Camp won in the category: Best Overall Environmental Management System, for its minimal impact on the environment.
